Bluebells in Short Wood
A stunning display of bluebells can be found every Spring in Short Wood. Not in August!
Start at Oundle Cemetery and locate the marker (about 100 metres on) where you can cross the arable cut to Benefield Road and Biggin Grange; continue beside the crops to the Glapthorne /Benefield Road; cross and walk through the woods; then descend by road to the Shuckbrough Arms; (Southwick inn/campsite). Leave Southwick Village via the Church and take the footpath up to the woods. Follow the woods to the right and walk down into Woodnewton Village by the old mill. Continue by road to Fotheringhay Church/ Castle Mound/the Falcon Inn.
